Hi, anyone know what the black box in the picture is?
2004 120 series, auto petrol. Pic is top of passengers side.
It is making a buzzing noise after engine is turned off, but don’t know what to google. This is coupled with a hissing noise from somewhere nearby in the compartment, which google suggests is head gasket or coolant leak, but there’s no evidence of fluids anywhere, coolant looks full, and car isn’t overheating. So want to see if it might be related to the buzzing box.
Just had a full service done with all filters etc replaced, AC compressor and condenser replaced and almost certain the noises started after this.

reassuring to know the charcoal canister is not the issue
