1kd fuel pipes and injector rattle

Hi guys
Ive just had my injectors replaced, but didn't get the pipes replaced after mechanic said it wasnt needed. Ive now since seen that its compulsory that pipes get replaced along with new injectors to prevent leaks and contamination to new injectors.
Not quite sure where to go from here, has the damage been done or should i get new pipes on the new injectors now after driving a few thousand ks
I also have a bit of a rattle that comes in at 2000rpm that has me a bit concerned
Any advice is appreciated.

The pipes aren't essential, lots of people don't get them done

They aren't 100% compulsory to be changed. Although a lot of dodgy online mechanics will make you believe they are so they can line their pockets with your $$$
