Struggle with gear engagement on start up

On a road trip from Cairns to central NSW I am now having trouble getting my 2009 120 Series diesel into gear on these cold mornings when I first start up. It was fine when I started the trip but now its a real struggle getting into gear from start up. Had a new heavy duty clutch installed a year ago. Any suggestions what I should be looking at or thinking about. Vehicle was serviced only a week before we set off....and no gear engagement problem until well into our trip. Thanks in advance

Forgot to add... once finally get going gear engagement seems fine

Is it grinding or just really hard to engage?

I had the same problem, only thing I could conclude was that the clutch needed to be replaced as the thrust bearing was chattering as well. When the clutch was removed it looked perfect and hardly worn, replaced clutch and throwout fork and it has been great and it is now a year later and all is good.
