GX vs. GXL

just wondering what are the pro and con's of GX and GXL are?
it's topic has more than liely been discussed before.
any infomation would be great.
looing at 120 3.0 TD manual.

BTW - I have a 3.0 GXL 120 series (2008) and it's fantastic. Best choice in car I've ever made.

i'm and leading more towards a GXL around 2005 with 150,000
just for the few minor things.
hopefully i'll be driving one again in the coming weeks.

Hey megs_fever welcome aboard.You May also want to post your location in as well.In regards to GX vs GXL Samo would probably say a GX is a great starting point for a project where as i bought a 2006 gxl 1kz as i wanted the slightly more feature packed unit.Also you said you wanted the diesel however which diesel are you looking at getting-1kz or the 1kd.Both have good points to consider.At the end of the day it depends on what you are planning on using it for.

more than likely a 1KZ.
had this in my 2000 SR5 hilux and had no problems with it even without an intercooler.
my use for it is mainly for the 8seater but any offroad driving will most gravel/dirt and sand.

either way they are lovely vehicles ! best model to date i rekon ! go for the D4D engine. slightly more power better economy however reading on the site the injectors are the problem for diesels?
