Hello Pradopoint!

After a Hilux a few years ago and a Landcruiser 105 for the past year or so, I am the proud owner of a shiny nearly new(ish) 120 series Prado and recently joined the forum.

I'm really impressed with the 120, more so every time I drive it. Here are a few pictures of my new rig (BFG A/T's on order!):

Nice, you've done well.

You might want to take the cross bars off as they may just hit the signs in the carpark like mine did :shock:

Flip your 7 pin flat trailer plug the other way on the bracket so it doesn't get smashed.

We need to replace those tweety bird horns, get a commondore set and they'll plug straight in.

Did the dealer Armour-all under the bonnet? If so that's going to attract dust like a magnet.

i noticed that too.
will be a good tow rig.
very shiney. wonder how long that will last.
does it have a winch already fitted. noticed the roller fairlead but no cable (maybe out of shot).

Looks good there H4atch. I agree with BlackVX on the shiny of the alloy. Out of interest why did you head from a 105 to a 120?

I had no doubt that D4D would have a few recommendations and a few more after he saw the car this morning :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

The 105 was dated and thirsty. 24l/100kms and being the 4.5l 6 cyl, it was a little flat when towing a 2,000 kg boat. As a daily drive it was very spacious and the kids loved it, but what a cow to park. The 120 seems to be the best of daily dirve / towability / off-road.

Not to set the cat amongst the pigeons, coz someone will ask eventually, why the 120 and not the 150. Price for value was a factor, but to be honest, I just preferred the drive and feel of the 120. Because I'm taller than most, I found the dash in the 150 a little limiting - couldn't see from 2500rpm to 2500rpm and from 90km/h to 120km/h. In the 120 it's open... and easily visible.

It's only shiny because the dealer obivously had some excess polish and armour-all... It won't be so shiny in the next few weeks... :lol: :mrgreen: :lol: :mrgreen:

Yup, Superwinch with an Albright solenoid, and Dyneema rope. The people who fitted it knew what they were doing :lol:
