thanks for all the feedbacks..the bar also sits closer on the driver side near the headlight...tried to fix this yesterday but with no luck... will try what 404pug suggested in the post before..maybe with a bit of patience i can do it. do i need some more spacer?they only fitted 1 on each side..

Had mine done today. Certainly a noticeable difference in bar "wobble".
Still there but much less.
Exactly 15mm clearance on both sides (photos attached).

Chocolate frogs all round at Huebner Toyota - Beaudesert.
They also reinstalled my OI recovery points AND gave it a decent wash.
Good bunch of guy's.

I bought my 2005 GXL 2nd hand and haven't received a letter. I rang Castle Hill Toyota and after giving them my VIN, they agreed my vehicle was on the recall list and made an appointment. My car goes in on Wednesday. They requested to have it all day, I guess to help with their scheduling.

G'day fellas!

Im new to this forum, my first post, I just bought a second hand 04 Prado last week, how can I check to see if the modification has already been done to my soverign bb. If it hasnt, should I incur any costs of getting the modification done by Toyota?

Hi Luke. Welcome to Pradopoint.

If you see my previous post, I also bought my Prado 2nd hand. Just ring the local dealer, and ask about the recall. They should be able to work out whether your vehicle is part of the recall by the VIN. It shouldn't cost anything although I can confirm that after Wednesday when mine goes in.

Yep if you're the 2nd or 3rd owner just call your dealer. I'd booked mine in to have all the cooling hoses replaced and asked about the recall. They said they'd do it all at the same time.

So mine was done yesterday. Left the spotties and UHF aerial on the bar. Was a bit concerned as the leads for my spotties are the exact length I need (I hate having excess cables flopping about) but they managed to do it all without drama. They even remounted my alloy "radiator bash plate" better than I 'd had it originally.

I only got my notice today, I am assuming they r going out in waves, incidently had the recall done today. Lights, airiel and radiator bash plate no issues.

Got mine back from dealer today, new brackets installed and bar aligned great.

Only thing was "Can't reinstall your OI recovery points" as they don't fit now.

Car is going back tomorrow to have the job done properly.

Bloody annoying!!!
