  • Automatic slowing down????

    Hey guys,

I've been noticing a weird thing with my 06 Grande... Sometimes when going down a long hill, I will apply the brakes a bit, and when I release the foot the brakes seem to still be in slightly and are slowing me down.

The weird thing is, is that it has been helpful, and given that everything in the prado is 'automatic' this feels like it is a normal function, which I know it isn't... I'm not one to sit on the brake for ages going down a hill, so I only ever apply the brakes just to take some speed off, but they then stay on a bit to continue to take speed off.

Is this something that does happen, like the notorious tailshaft thump that I have, like most other prado owners?
It's not a lie, if you believe it.

All normal, u will find it kicks back a gear normally as well, check topics under brakes as it has been discussed a few times previously, have a look here.
