H, HL and LL when to use what in 120 series auto prado

Hi.
We have just gone up to an auto 120 series Prado from an old 80 series manual Landcruiser. Could someone give me the basics of when to use which gear off road in the new Prado? My old truck only had H and L. Not sure about an auto box off road, never driven one before and want some pointers before going off road. Any help appreciated. Thanks. cameljockey

If you do a search for "sand driving" or "sand tips" (etc) there are lots of tips and tricks about how and what to use and when to use it.

There are a few other features in the higher models that are aids to the basic HH, HL and LL selections - such as TAC. Tips on these can be found in the same threads.

I just bought a Deisel 5 speed manual 2003, 120 series and when i get on the sand, in HL, its like it wont rev up properly, its really wierd, does any1 know if it could be the traction control coming on or any thing?
