Just finished making a slide up for the engel, now looking at where to mount it .
Toying with the idea of making a removable shelf to fit in rear using the two rear seat locking catches on each side to hold it into position then just a simple two legs in centre to take weight.
Has anyone done something similar and would the locking catches be strong enough. I would think so as they have to hold the rear seats in place in the event of a accident.
If it is feasible then I wont need to bolt it down and it will onlt take a few minutes to fit or remove.
I knocked up a prototype today and it will work if the mounts will be strong enough.
Did a similar shelf for my old 90 series but it used the mounting bolts, worked well but took longer to fit up.
