    If anyone is looking for the installation manual (including workshop pics etc) for the RD111 or RD121 front diff, or the RD132 rear diff, READ ON!

    Has anyone attempted the install? To be honest it doesn't look overly complicated (assuming you have the toyo workshop manual for factory backlash/preload measurements etc). Reading briefly through the Rear (RD132) I would need a workshop to press the bearings though.

    wouldnt be hard with some know how and the correct tools.. but getting it wrong would be a costly excercise.

      the thing that keeps rearing its head with DIY install is
      oil coming back through air supply line.
      normally caused by the slightest mark on the o-rings when installed.
      it wont show straight away, but it will.
      most shops that fit these don't have this issue as they have a good technique when fitting the ring

        From reading around, it seems there is no shortage of people complaining about oil leaking out of their solenoid and these are all coming from reports of people having it fitted by ARB.

        ARB have added a note to the install instructions:
        A twisting motion (i.e., a slight rotation while pressing the seal housing on) will allow the O-rings to engage gently and prevent them from twisting. Twisted O-rings will result in pre-mature O-ring wear and oil contamination in the air system due to the helical shape formed by the O-ring mould line.
        If my rig was only a weekend warrior and not my daily driver I wouldn't have any hesitation fitting a lockright but I'm still not 100% convinced as yet.
