    Exhaust mod for 3.0TD comments experiences please :-)

    Hello all,

    I am looking at putting an after market exhaust on my 2005 Prado 3.0 TD. If any one can comment on how they have found this mod? Also I am thinking of going 3” instead of 2½” any negatives points to take into consideration?

    I beleive that you will see a drop in power with a 3" system.

    Do a thread search. Your questions have been discussed to death before.
    2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.

      No drop in power with my 3" exhaust. Quite the oppposite. See comments in diesel section

        That's good to hear.

        My comments were based on what I was told by the guys at Beaudesert exhaust, not from personal experience.
        Maybe I should have kept my comment to myself.
        2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.

          3 inch system will make a few gains in performance, it gets rid of the hole in the wall you hit at 3000rpm and boost spools up a little earlier, do this i conjunction with a dump pipe it will make a noticeable difference in performance as well as a good note, have a look in the 120 section in diesel, this question has been asked lots of time. cheers samo. this needs deleting please
          had an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.
