I have seen my machinist and he will be starting this job 1st week in the new year. Hopefully this isn't too late for switched.

Thanks for getting it all sorted, looks like you have a few onboard now. I probably will have new tyres fitted first or second week of next year so its all go from me 8)

Not a problem. Glad to be of service. Now I wished I hadn't bought the dog bone spacers not because of the extra work I just created myself but the fact that I could have put something I made onto the Prado instead of someone else's product. Oh well, nevermind.

I will be picking up some material either on Thu or Fri as we are heading to Victor Harbor/Goolwa/Narnu farm for the next few days for a bit of beach play at Goolwa and minor off road at Deep creek conservation park.
The anodising will be black. One side will be foam lined (also black or dark grey) to protect the paintwork on the Prado.

If it's not ready by then, you might have to pack it out with some washers as a temp measure. but if you're not heading out of Metro, I would leave the spare off. That was what I did when I was measuring stuff up for the spacers.

Unbelievable, he's finished off the spacers in quick time. I'll follow up on anodising in the new year when my machinist has completed Toyotaman's set.

I'm booked in for replacement rubber on Wednesday. I'm happy to run around with the spare in the boot for now until these are finished (since cargo barrier is in). I know it is only first week in Jan, but do you know they expect to finish them?

When I was doing the ring around in late Nov, the indication from the anodisers was that it shouldn't take too long. Just a matter of days. However, back then, it didn't occur to me that the anodisers might stop for the christmas for a bit longer into Jan. I just arrived back from Sydney and will check up on the anodisers tomorrow.

Once I speak to the anodisers, I will then get the final price together and PM everyone about payment.

I've picked up the last spacer set today and the whole lot are getting anodised tomorrow. I can only pick them up on Friday though. I'm yet to get the fasteners.

According to the profiles, there are 3 PP'ers from Perth (IRON-PAWW, Spoony and 09PradoGXL). If you are pretty close together, you could organise between yourselves to have the 3 sets sent to one person to save on postage.

Yep! We've sent a few PM's around, though I was a bit late reading mine.... ops: What will it cost us to send the 3 sets in one package over to Perth?? If it's only $10.00 each (seems cheap) then this isn't too bad anyhow. But willing to go this way if the other guys decide to.

Received my spacer yesterday and installed in last night. Fits perfectly and tyre clears the door nicely. Thanks amts!
