Just a couple of pics of my home made side steps. Thay cost about $200 took 12hrs to make and frustrated the hell out of me.

I have just finished a set my self , Will put some pics up soon
Was thinking of painting them same colour as old steps but am struggling to break down my trim code . Must take off my hat to Andrew who has been making the for other members, I work in a full blown Engineering shop with all the gear and still found it a bit of work .

Thanks Slackdog. Mate i hade a cheap welder, grinder and my veranda floor. As for the paint trim i also chased the trim colour but had truble finding it so i just went with metallic grey.

Nice work nakkas, they look sweet, that will save the sills. Cheers samohad an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.Comment

Sounds the way to go then !!!!. Fitting a ally tread top to mine so won,t see much tube anyway .

Slackdog that is a sweet set of step, i like your tread plate. it finishes them of nicely. One thing did you leave a gap between the plate and the car body. It needs to be about 10mm so it doesn't rub on the body.

Yes mate sure did ,I think that its about it for the accessories side of things,Have ordered a double din radio and that will be the last thing i need to fit (well this week anyway !!!!!lol)
