  • Repainting an ARB Bar

Can this be a home job, or am I best to suck it up and get a pro to do it?
Am looking at going from white (056) to crystal gold (4r4) which is metallic and to be honest scares me!
Anybody done it themselves? If so good or not so good?
    Cheers,
    Ralph

I did some remodeling of my Hilux bullbar a few years ago. Then had it sandblasted and powder coated. $450 and it still looks good.

If your planning on keeping the bar, get it powder coated, otherwise just paint it, in my opinion anyway.

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

How long did they take to do the work?

For those quoting figures for sandblasting, etc did you have to remove the bar yourselves? My TJM bar has some flaking paint/powdercoat and there is surface rust, still have to take it to TJM to be assessed but I wasn't the original purchaser.
