    Safari Snorkel - Airbox Mod

    Hi Gents,

    I am sure this has been discussed before, I did some searching but could not find anything. I installed my Snorkel recently and noticed this in the Airbox, i know some 200 series that remove theirs, just wanted to know your experience...

    Do I need it, can I just cut it out?

    i cut mine out.

    its the heavy particle seperator.

    induction noise is louder.

      im going to cut mine out if it makes it louder lol but what does it do any ways
      04 grande, bilstein A712 &A713 kings spring , 3 inch exhaust chip it chip, XGT lightforce, 1 x lightbar, Sov Bar, Tigerz11 Grande winch with rope, Oricom UHF.

        It's an inertial separator. It moves particles (including water, theoretically) to the outside of the casing. Keeps some of the crap out of your filter. The result is found in the bottom of the airbox in the rubber drain titty. VERY small amounts of water should drain via the drain holes nearby.

        Then again, it might be a Toyota genuine Hiclone
