The reasons I haven't gone with drawers already is the lack of flexibility depending on the trip. Sometimes I need maximum luggage space, other times it's gear space. A single drawer system doesn't accommodate that. If there is 2-3 people, the fridge sits in the middle row, 4 people and its in the back. The weight is another factor.2008 D4D M6 GXL [MT ATZ-P3][Whitey's Ironman 45710FE/45682FE+KTFR101H/Dob487][extended Roadsafe links][Polyairs][DBA T3/T2][amts diffdrop & recovery points][Tin175's stone guards][Bushskins BashPlate][ARB Sahara][IPF 900s][Snorkel][WindCheetah][MaxTrax][IC-440][Parrot Asteroid][ARB Fridge][Lifestyle 2nd Row Fridge Mount][ARB Compressor][Thumper][SandGrabbers][Cargo Barrier][Tigerz Awning][MCC Rear Bar]

@jph...45kg each...ive got a waeco doing the honors for fridge etc...my first drawers will be the biggest so the software can be adjusted to suit the smaller models in minutes before printing...the front of them slant upwards along the glass and the back will be same shape as cargo barrier...so if so.eone wants a small model it should be simple enough to adjust on the pc then again print...
The ones im testing are as follows:
Fridge in middle
Drawers either side including wine rack and plates and cups areas and slide out shelves.
2 big drawers above fridge full width...above this will be a stuff space for small cases or soft backpacks....

If you are going full height with "stuff space" at the top, you might want to consider some sort of cargo barrier too, to prevent any unwanted luggage entering the passenger area...2009 White KDJ120R Manual fitted out for family camping and touring - See my Rig Build at [url]http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27887-Smithy-s-Rig-Build[/url]

Hey Baggs, any chance of some early pics of what you are thinking or slapped together yet? my drawers are feeling their age and the carpet is starting to peel. I had a full width unit with two drawers and fridge on top. wife is vertically challenged so cut the thing in two and only have one side in atm and the fridge on the lower part. Would this be achievable with what you are proposing?
By the way, top idea and good luck to you. love the forum for this, i have AMTS bash plates and they are freakin awesome and were a good price.

Baggs- good to see our recent discussion has turned into a reality.
Re fridge space - I suggest you do some decent research on what sort of space you need to allow for a variety of fridges. For instance, your old draws (now my draws) tend to fit the ARB/Ironman type of fridge, but not the square engel type (they're too wide). The Engel MT60FP for instance doesn't fit the space I have, but the Evakool 60L Travelmate does. On the other hand, the WAECO CF-60AC is too tall for my current fridge space.
Anyway, it's important that popular fridges (like the Engel, Waeco etc) fit, and that you allows something in the vicinty of 60L I reckon.
Keep up the good work.Diesel Prado with various things...

Nice works Baggs, and of course if you need an empty 120 for further testing feel free to let me know.
I too have thought about making some but all distractions like wife, kids, work etc think otherwise!
Id be interested in option 2 so will stay tuned.
p.s why not arrange another mt pleasant weekend for us all to test the kit in among the rocks and mud...Cheers
Micheal.

So imagine thefollowing:
Fridge in middle
Left side of fridge drawers x2...one small one at top with a deeper on below....the bottom one will hold plates...cups...bowls...kfs...and to the rear 4x wine rack.
Right side of fridge drawers x2...each one high enough for baked bean cans etc...these two are for your pantry...bleow these two will be a slide out shelf full length..
Above fridge x2 drawers for clothes etc...note: the face of these drawers extends up to the next stuff sack level to act as a barrier to stop gear falling onto door space in transit
At top is stuff space for portable dunny or h2o or sleeping bags or overnight bags etcetc or portable cooking gear etc
Left and right stuff spaces...from experience most if not all straps and recov gear fits down side....right side i usually keep for tools & tent poles and canvas and tarps etc
The left and right stuffspaces will most likely be cargo mesh press stud and velcro in place....this most likely will be left up to the owner to modify as im still not sure...
Hope this helps some members to visualise what my personal model will look like....imgunna call this one SERGEANT Grand Tourer.
Hahahaha this all seems a little odd for me as i like reading build threads but will not as a rule list oneLast edited by baggs71; 31-08-2013, 10:30 AM.
