Can anyone recommend a motion detecting alarm for an '03 Prado? For the second time in two weeks I've had some crack head break the rear window to rifle through the car - for nothing! I think it's the same junkie who now knows the alarm won't go off just because of a broken window. He may try it again, but I at least want the damn alarm to go off... Many thanks.

After market motion detecting alarm?

2003 LC120 (European Prado) 1KD-FTV 3.0 D4D. All stock including standard transmission. Apparently not one of the VIN numbers that has an injector seating problem but keeping an eye on it anyway....Tags: None

I would be using a DEI product. You can get upgrade alarms, which will work off your existing keyless entry but will door, boot and shock protection. You can add additional sensors such as glass break, ultrasonic and tilt.
I believe the 120 has its keyless entry buttons built into the key itself right so you wouldn't want an additional remote control.
DEI makes viper alarms.... http://www.vipersecurity.com.au/prod...ecurity-system
That alarm us available worldwide. Here in Australia we have rhino and mongoose alarms that also do the same. I offer my customers the rhino alarm. If you like, find out how much you can get the viper for in Czech and let me know and if it's too much I will see how much it is to send you a rhino at cost price plus postage.
