ARB Air Compressor

I have fitted the ARB 12v air compressor next to the fuel filter in my 120 GXL, all pretty straight forward, a mate made the mounting bracket for me. I wired the switch up to the power lead in the cigarette lighter, but what would be a good place to wire the dash illumination wire to? Has anyone else fitted one?

I don't know about others, but I spliced into one of the existing dash switches (Green wire of idle up) for my newtech-pro spotlight switch.

I tapped into the backlight of the cigarette lighter below the aircon dials.

Back of the stereo or cig plug would be the easiest, really depends where the switch will be mounted?

All good thanks, although the original switch supplied in the ARB kit shorted out when I fitted it. Got a replacement and wired it up the same way as the first and it works fine. I mounted mine near the fuel filter.

any thoughts on which battery to wire the ARB compressor too? main or second

I dont think it really matters.

If you plan to air up while the car is not running, then the aux battery. The compressor draws a small amount and is not run for long periods of time. If it is wired up through the acc then you can use either
