          SRS Airbag Reset

My Safety caution was regarding the disconnection of the SRS airbag from it's sensors , usually you don't do that for one Airbag in isolation from others, THe main Fuse should be released first, finish work and then reset the Airbags -I know this from an early car that the Agent had to remove the entire Steering for structural failure in the Wheel - (The Missus Ford Focus)

Failing to do so might result in Different timing demployment of the Airbags and you don't want that if an accident occures "god forbids'

A question here mates; Wouldn't it be more safe to purchase a steering assembly from Toyota and Just Plug the old one out and Put the New one In ? Is that possible ?

          Cheers 8)

If you're going to be unplugging SRS components you should always disconnect the battery prior to disconnection and reconnect the battery after reconnection of components. This way you eliminate any false inflation and also error codes.

This was the case in Holden's anyway, I assume it would be the same in most cars.

Re: Is This is Safe ??

My son had a quick look and thinks he disconnected the battery for 5 minutes (his wife speaks spanish, so he knows a little).

He also admits that he is crazy and you shouldn't try this unless you are too in a later post.

Google toolbar also has a translate option, doesnt completely translate but you get the general idea.
