Re: D.I.Y My fridge socket fit out - rear power gauge added

Sorry to bring up a old topic.

But is the DIY instructions of this thread missing or is it me :?:

Looking at a couple of Baintech Cigarette sockets in the back of my Prado running off the Aux battery. Spoke to the local auto elec and was quoted around $200 to fit them with 'heavy wiring'.

Plugs I have ready to install:
      http://www.baintech.com.au/sockets/bain ... r-+-ciga-s
      http://www.baintech.com.au/sockets/bain ... iga-socket

Any info (incl where to get wire, fuses etc from) or DIY for this would be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you,

      RT

RT this is one of the threads that has been affected by Matts departure

You should be able to heavy duty wire at Jaycar and I am sure many auto shops will have it as well. The autoshops (super cheap etc) should have your fuses and other bits and pieces.

Yes the DIY is missing as the original author left and delted all his posts.

I am going to lock this thread for that reason. If someone else wants to do a DIY it would be great. post up a new thread. This one ios sadly obsolete now..
