  • 30" Light bar ARB Bar

    Gday,

Anyone running a 30 inch light bar ontop of the bull bar? on the tube itself not where the winch control box lives as i have spotty and a control box there

Am wondering what clamps or how you fixed it, my arb bar is the deluxe and does not have the 2 aerial lugs.......

I had a light bar on my sovereign bar and had a couple of tabs welded to it but not real keen on welding to the new bar at this stage unless i really have to........

    Cheers

    Rob

Hi Rob , I was wondering the same thing a while back , why no tabs on the 120 bar. If those tabs are welded on you won't be able to open the bonnet. These tabs are on the 150 bar because the 150 bonnet "lid" only opens . The grill is not part of the bonnet as with the 120 so it has a bit more clearance when opened. If mounting on the the top bar it would have to go above or below and not behind the bar.
    Cheers Matt

I've got one mounted on my bullbar its a korr lighting light bar and tjm bullbar. Tjm fitted it and they have drilled into the top of the bar and tapped a thread and bolted the mounts on. Can take a photo of you need.

Fitted so many of these guys... antenna brackets are the go.

Just be mindful as I believe if the bracket faces forwards and projects the bar past the bullbar it may be deemed illegal as it's a hazard to pedestrians in an incident.

Yeah mate this sounds like a good idea if you could chuck up a couple of photos that would be great!

Doubt the antenna brackets would be any good as they will sit back not allowing the bonnet to open but i might try it and see if it works........ cheers for the reply fellas

It's certainly something I have to take into account. Sometimes I mount them from the top rung but hanging underneath. I wont drill holes in bullbars.

I'll take some photos tomorrow the only problem with my setup is that the light bar just touches the grill when I open it. But it still opens just have to be mindful. I did buy two gme antener brackets and was going to mount them so the face the other way which would give plenty of clearance between the grill and light bar.

Yep that looks good, think thats the way ill go it keeps it nice and low on the bar.....

Is it drilled into the bar? do you have any more photos you could post for me?

                  Thanks

Yes, drilled into the bar. I will try to load some more pics but can't do until the weekend.

I've used brackets from snake racing to install my light bar, no drilling required but a bit expensive imho for what they are. Makes mounting them heaps easier, although it would be better if you could buy them color coded!

I'm pretty sure ARB sell bushranger clamps/brackets to suit their bars, they did not fit my TJM bar anyway.

Not the best picture I didn't put it on so I can't give you much info but it seems to be tapped and bolted on.

cheers for the pictures fellas, i'm going to look at getting it drilled into the bar. For now I've used the ariel brackets facing forward it sits a little high but it does the job till i can get it drilled....

                            Thanks for the info

I have a set of these as part of the original plan, however the posts were in the way.
