Anyone know where I can get these 'crimp links' from? I went to the local upholstery place and they didn't have them.

Question: How do you know if it is a Camp rear door table? Does it swing both ways or something like that?

jcas24, the crimp link I refered to is used to join wires together. I'm a sparky so I had some lying around, you'll also need a set of crimpers to crimp them, bit of a pain if you can't get a hold of the crimpers. If you can take the elastic into an electical wholesaler they may be able to do it for you there. They generally hire out crimpers so they should have a set there and you'll be able to grab the crimp link from there too.

Thanks to Crammy and Joey, I have a table too . Your directions and bill-of-materials made this a cinch. For under $100, with plenty of left-over materials for when I get to do my drawers .

Unfortunately, I had to chase around for the materials. BCF were out of stock of several items. Next time I will probably start at Whitworth's Marine, who seemed to have everything I needed (excluding the wood).

BCF
                  1. 8mm Shockcord (2m) $2.40[/*:m:yxde3uua]
                  2. Shockcord post (x4) $4.50[/*:m:yxde3uua]
                  3. Marine carpet (1m) $39.95[/*:m:yxde3uua]
                  4. Screw Kit SS Self-Tapping $12.00[/*:m:yxde3uua]
                  5. Nylon hinges 58x36mm $6.00[/*:m:yxde3uua]

                  [/*:m:yxde3uua][/list:u:yxde3uua]

Bunnings

The ply wood at bunnings was appox $23. I used some left-over VJ flooring. Very light and very tough.

                  And here it is

This is the Solcor shockcord connector I found at Bunnings:

Exactly my sentiments too Joey! This site has become quite the unexpected hobby. I love it!

When I explained the table to my wife, the first (predictable :wink response was "What do you need that for? We have a camp table already." I explained, "The camp table stays at the campsite and when we are on the beach, a table will come in handy." This flawless logic still did not gain me much more support.

When she got home, the garage was dimly lit and I had the table setup with a bottle of wine, glasses, cheese, olives, crackers, hommus and a few camp-chairs. It had the ambience of a ... well... of a garage . The tune changed considerably and it earned its praises.
