  • little temp gauge mod for the new baby

With the new liitle tacker arriving this week i wanted to keep a check on the tempature in the car, so i brought a $20 digital thermomitor from supercheap, they come with a 2mtr long cable with a sensor on the end.
i mounted the digital readout with double sided tape just in front of the 4wd selecter near the spare buttons, clipped off
the siver trim ran the wire under the trim along to the back of the passenger seat, up the back of the front seat behind the seat cover and popped the end with sensor out the top of the cover near the head rest and the senor sits just on the top of the baby seat.
now i have a constant readout of the cabin temp within a foot of the little fella.
Once we turn the seat around at six months, i will attach the sensor to the back of the centre console to keep track of the temp in the back, with the vents under the front seats my little girl often complained of cold feat in the back.

The lengths us parents take to give our babies the comfort they deserve, never ceases to amaze me haha.. well done mate.

What a great idea. I always worry if my daughter is to hot/cold back there. Good job.

I recently acquired a 12 volt version of the commercial thermostats with a 6 metre sensor lead.I use this currenty to monitor the 60 litre engel while the rear area is loaded. When the fridge isnt in use i wrap the sensor around the cargo barrier to monitor the rear temos for my boys.Eventually i will use the carel to control the engel from the centre console. Below is the link for the controller...
