  • Mirror Monitor/Rev Camera System

    G,Day Guys
Has anybody fitted a Gator Driver Assist 4" Mirror Monitor Model ARV4M Reversing Camera. Everything all wired up and working but I'm very dissapionted in the quality of the picture. Its as thou it needs focusing as its very blurred. ( Yes Iv'e took the protective film off the lens ) but still not happy. Knowing my luck I have a faulty camera !!
Ive mounted it just above the licence plate, It also has a remote control and can be switched on while on the move, with Video 1 and 2 inputs to the screen.
It wasn't cheap at $250 bucks !!. It has Contrast, Colour,Brightness, Tint, & Volume to adjust but NO focus !! :?

Hear is hoping someone else has one and its clear, and mine is a faulty camera, Still got the reciept

Good to hear it all worked out - any pics of the install? How well does it work and where did you buy it from as I have been considering something similar myself.

I recently got one of these http://thecarkitcompany.com.au/produ...name=SmartPark and so far am very impressed. Works just as promised and is a very neat job.

        Cost around $500 installed.

Yeah its pretty good. Its a bit dark, but I am used to it now.

The only thing is that due to the camera's wide angle (120 degrees maybe?) it makes things look further away; again this takes some getting used to and I find that with the parking sensors and the camera I am sorted.

One other benefit is that the mirror has two video inputs, one switched in reverse.
