  • Plates under the car for exhaust jack?

Hello. I have T-max their exhaust jack. Great product that I think I want to become satisfied with. Does anyone else have this? Have any of you made a lift plates under the car so the jack has to work in order to avoid puncture? It would be a lot easier to use it then. Some pictures would be nice

Have used the bullbag quite extensively conducting 4WD training and a few times for real recovery. We just carry some sturdy rubber mats that can be placed between the top of the bag and the chassis rail, rear hitch, etc. Don't use your good floor mats, get some old conveyer belt rubber or similar. Only ever had one puncture when the bag touched a hot exhaust pipe.

      G'day Highway Patrol.

When I first used my airjack, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbEXG6K93rE), I also had difficulty locating it in a way which would not make contact with the sharp edges of the sidestep saddles. It took quite a bit of careful positioning and repositioning as the bag started to take the weight and change shape as a result.

I've also lifted a car with Auto-Craft steel side-steps, and much to my pleasure, the underside of those steps were completely flat, which meant the lift was straight forward.

The bushranger air jack came with heavy rubber mats, but I also try to remember to put in an off-cut of carpet for extra protection. I haven't needed to use the carpet yet.

      Cheers,
      LFaR.
