  • Removing the original Roof Rails

    Hello,

I want to remove my 2009 Toyota Prado's roof rails.

I searched on PP and came up with a posting with expired links.

Can someone please help me out?

P.S. I watched a youtube video but it doesn't seem to work.

    Thanks,

The plastic covers on the rails clip off (you may need a small screwdriver). If you are getting rid of them, to put a roof rack or cage on, then you can use a little extra force. I did mine years ago, and it wasn't too hard. Once covers are off, bolts just come straight out, but remember to plug them or seal them, or the car will leak in the first rain.
