Toyota bull bar modification - What do you think?

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with the toyota bar and wondered if anyone has ever installed the bar without the uprights and the bars that go over the top of the lights?

I am contemplating if I should do this as I want to fit a winch but don't really want the bull bar look :? I'm probably a confused person LOL

Would also paint bar to match car and hide mounting holes.


Comments welcome on my wacky idea's!!! Fore/Against or even if it has been done.

Toyota has the low profile alloy bar for the 150. Let your imagination do the rest.

Yes just checked after seeing your post there is a soveriegn bar in Ipswitch and a powder coated bar in Darling downs, pretty much what I am after just wrong timing becuase the bank manager has put a halt to it :| for now.

They are such a weak massive ugly bar, I would get a steel bar and do the same thing, were it I looking at such an idea.

The ARB Sahara bar color coded and leave the top crome bar off, as it can be ordered with bumperettes without the top holes, for the 100, so I imagine it could be for 150 as well.

Thanks all. I have a 120 so the 150 bar is a no go for me. I have looked at most of the other bars around and to be honest IMO I think the Toyota bar has the best integrated look/fit to body and this is why I keep thinking of it.
