    GLX Front seats?

    Guys,
    Does anyone know if the GLX150 has height adjustment & lumbar support on it's driver's seat? Also, do you think it could be installed in a GLX120, without too much stuffing about?

    Maybe you could source a 120 VX seat from a wreckers. Does your 120 have leather seats? If so, then you'll need to look at the Grande.

      G'day Andrew,
      Thanks for responding. No, mine has cloth. Are you saying that a VX has a power optioned driver's seat? If so, do you think there would be much involved in fitting ( electricaly ) in my 120? I wonder if any other members have already done this.

        ARB and presumably TJM both sell aftermarket seats that will fit and have that sort of support. I think one of the brands is Recaro or a similar name?

          According to redbook, the VX has height and lumbar adjustment. I don't know if they are powered. A VX owner can confirm.

            driver and passenger are powered but only the driver has lumber support

              I would almost bet that the plug under the seat now has the power already there for it so it would be really or should be really a straight swap out? :shock:

                That's sort of true for my 2003 120 VX as well in South Africa. It's funny how models differ from country to country though.

                My driver's seat has several adjustments including lumbar support adj, height adjustment, tilt adjustment for the seat, tilt for the backrest, and forward and backward adj.

                But the passenger seat only has forward and backward, and backrest tilt.

                Will actually be nice to install a driver's seat for the front passenger as well because you can tweak the driver's seat JUST RIGHT on the move ... The buttons will be on the wrong side on the passenger side though... hmmm maybe get one from a right-hand drive country if yours is LHD or the other way around ...?

                    :lol: I once did exactly that kind of swop-out with someone in the USA ... I bought a piece of electronics here that he couldn't find in the USA (funny enough) and he did the same for me ... I shipped it with our (not so reliable) South African postal service, and he sent to me using the US postal service ... well, I received his shipment within a week, and he mailed me EVERY week very concerned that I did in fact send the stuff (the deal was on a trust basis...) so finally after two months he got his stuff ... he was very relieved, and I was surprised that it arrived there AT ALL...

                        Wow that's crazy ... at least we do have DHL and the likes ... you can probably get the same thing shipped for $50 or $75? Surely?

                          I find my 07 GX bucket seats a bit uncomfortable after long trips and thinking about fitting Grande seats if they fit .
                          Has anyone made this modification & are the Grande seats worth using .posting.php?mode=reply&f=18&t=10859#
