Video 1 - shows the wiper jets in action with the camera located centrally to the windscreen.
Video 2 - shows the camera directly in front of the right wiper jet, then moving across to be directly in front of the left wiper jet.

In Video 2, the left wiper jet seems to have improved in its coverage.

OK, I'm now the latest member of this HiLux washer club. I stuggled with the first one but the 2nd only took a few minutes. Doing it from the top with the cable tie is the way to go. I bought mine off fleabay. When I received it I realized if you order 2 you get 2 sets. I have a spare set, If anybody is interested, $20 and I'll take care of the postage.

most toyota spare parts dealers will have stock.
            easy enough job.
dash lights. how are you going to change them. they are LED's soldered to a circuit board. (going off topic. do a search. i have pics posted on here showing this).

            • no go for 90series =(

Tried this ages ago, but I don't think I every posted about it. I got a PM asking about it.

Mate I tried the hilux washer jets on the 90 series and it didnt work out well. The 90's have a flatter bonnet & steeper windscreen which means once the hilux washer is fitted, it sprays water at the bottom of the screen, the level the wiper blades sit at. I butchered the hilux jet trying to get it to sitting better, then fitted it back into the hilux work ute. They are not adjustable like many wahser jets are.

I purchased a set off ebay and put them in yesterday.
I used a length of heavy cotton string and wrapped it around from the top to release the clips. Took a few attempts, but was really pretty easy to get them out.

After driving back from down south on the weekend, the windscreen was covered in bugs. I tried the old washers several times on the drive back with out much success. The new washers cleaned them off nicely.

I also noticed the new ones must not have the non-return valve in them like the old ones.

Delivery was fast. Only about a week.
Coverage is good, a little over spray on the passengers side while driving. None while parked.
A lot more water hits the screen and cleans well. More of a random splatter of water rather than the direct stream of the old ones.
I think I will add some non return valve in the hose somewhere to keep the lines primed.

Sounds like you guys have had better luck with the washer jets from ebay. Mine are still unsatisfactory. Will be sourcing genuine ones from overseas to try out.

Well I am the latest to install these. Got mine from ebay and didnt take to long to arrive. I did it from the top on the outside and took no more than 1 minute per side (less actually). It actually took me longer trying to unwrap them from all the plastic and then bubble wrap the seller had them in than it did to install. I found it easier standing on one of those plastic caravan steps (and no I am not short - i am 6' actually, but with a self inflicted stab wound to the right ankle making things difficult at the moment i found it was easier to reach that way)

With the car sitting in a dark garage they look to work great but the test will be in about 10 minutes when I hit the road and give them a burst outside in some daylight. Thanks PP for another great idea - cheers Mick

Tested the hilux washer jets whilst out driving. They work really well with plenty of water going all over the place. There seems to be a small area [closer to passenger side in the gap between the jets] that doesnt get sprayed directly from the jets, but water gets there from the passenger wiper so i think it works ok. Its better than before anyway so I am happy. Just have to keep up the water supply to them as they use plenty. The wiper blades seem happier too as I didnt get that horrible shudder from the drivers wiper as it skates across screen - time will tell if that problem is gone, cheers mick....

ps: this is the ebay seller i got mine from in case anyone is interested
