Thanks for all the info on this thread. First side gave me some problems, but recovered and the second side was a dream.
The spray pattern is soooo much better.
Why is everyone talking about this special windscreen washer jet mod? I have a 2005 VX, and when I hit the washer it seems to spray the water out ok on the windscreen..?

Hi Guys, I did this mod years ago with 2 brand new jets, my problem is now the water spraying from the jets will not even reach the windscreen. I have flushed and checked all the lines and blown out with compressed air , i have soaked the nozzles in a cup of vinegar and blown out with air, i have flushed washer Reservoir and taken out and cleaned both washer motors , today i replaced the front motor with a second hand one . After all this still no luck, the back one is working fine. Is it possible for these (jets) things to wear out , they are about 7 years old. If i take both jets out and start the washer there is a steady stream of water coming from both hoses. Looks like a trip to Mr Toyota maybe, Russ.
I'm thinking it's probably worn away. Like a thumb over a garden hose but with not much thumb at all
Yep they were worn out , put a second hand set in today and all is good . Maybe they were clogged but after 2 hours in vinegar you think it may have cleaned them, just keep this in mind when you start to lose pressure from your nozzles.
Mod just complete. Purchased jets off eBay, arrived in less than a week. The job took me less than 5 minutes and the old ones are still fine. I just used a flat screwdriver (protecting the paint with a cloth) to prize the old jets up, windscreen end first, then did the same the other side to push the front clip in. They then popped out quite easily. Much easier than having to drop the sound deadening under the bonnet.

Yep.
My drivers side has started to lose height about a year ago. I figured they are just wearing out or the pump has lost some velocity. As it's a vane pump I doubted the second option.
