D.I.Y Windscreen wiper jets upgrade

Hi All,

I just had my Nozzles changed for Free.

I had my First service and the Service staff at Le Mans Toyoya Deer Park, fitted my Headlight Covers and the Washer Nozzles for Free and only Changed me for the Oil and Filter Change.

I agree, they a 10 times better than the standard ones fitted.

Hi Clifton,
There are no 'clips' just the washer jet, very similar to my pics of the original unit, above. Really the only difference is the Hilux jets have a 'square' opening, instead of the 2 eyes......

The Hilux washer jets are out in the open and you dont need to undo any clips to access them. The Prado's have the bonnet lining protecting them and are a real bitch however. Have fun.

FINALLY got around to doing this mod yesterday. What a difference! 8)

Took a different approach and removed the old clips from the top side. Popped straight out (with a little bit of careful encouragement from my electrical screwdriver), attached new ones to hose, popped new ones straight in. Took 5 minutes with no fiddling underneath bonnet with clips and linings etc.

Was a bit concerned that this approach may scratch bonnet but was all too easy with no damage done :wink:

My Wonder Woman noticed the difference on 1st use. This is definately the best mod so far. Not used everyday, but well worth the difference.
When I went and got them, I asked for 2 current model Hilux jets, the salesman asked, What for your Prado?
Haven't been in there that much, and he was keen to hear why.
We went out to the new cars and I gave him a 1st hand experience.

Yeah, Add me to the ever growing list with this great mod. Did mine 2 weeks ago , much better than the old ones. I took them out from the top as you did Hutch, using the pointy end of a zippy tie does the trick , no damage at all, job done in five mintues. Also did the same for a mate with a 90 series but the angle of the bonnet is all wrong with the water shooting way to low, so he may stick with the old ones. (mersenne) i went in there aswell and explained what i wanted them for , i got a strange look, and i was not about to pay $24 each for them so it had to be a swap over from a work vehicle. Rusty.

Got trade prices thru my mate in the service dept. he went into spare parts got me a dozen clips too (free of charge ).

FYI - if anyone is interested in Rhino roof racks, can get a good deal there too and shipped at a reasonable price directly from Rhino h/o. PM me if you need any.
