Sounds like sagging springs. Any bullbar, dual battery, winch installed? You can change the spring but the spring and shock are one assembly. If you have the right tools, you can do it but can be dangerous using spring compressors. Best to get it done by a suspension specialist.
If you have extra weight on the front, you can go for heavy duty instead of standard springs. There are different types of springs for different applications. There are standard springs (same as the factory supplied spring), standard spring with lift and heavy duty spring with lift. If you installed a raised spring, you are more than likely to top out the factory shock. As the strut has to come out, might as well replace the shock if a lift above factory spec is required or if the shocks are on its way out.
Best to provide more detail such as mileage, type of driving and load over the front for better advice from forum members.
yeah i can do all the work ive got spring compressors and everything, so you just think it's sagged, all it has in a toyota genuine alloy bar, dad doesn't want to stuff around with raised springs. His car has very low kay's for an 05 i think it's under 100,000 cant remember. So probly a hd standard spring. was just wondering if it was a common thing for this model being a grande etc

I've got no problems with mine. It's an 03 model. Can you confirm what the front and rear heights are and compare that to the suspension measurements thread --> viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1392&p=155328#p155328
I read that quite a number of people have gone for the Bilstein shock/King spring upgrade. So have a look at www.kingsprings.com and you will find their 2010 catalogue. In it, you will find the part number for front standard height springs for the 120 is KTFS-101.
If you don't replace the shocks, then you will still have the TEMS feature.
