  • Bilstein / Lovells - Bargain price

    Hi
I'm just buying a Bilstein / Lovell suspension kit for a bargain price of $1275, with fitting costs of $300 this is less expensive than TJM, Pedders and ARB and by what I read on here this kit is pretty good.
Can't wait to get it fitted now :-)

That is a great price. Well done. Do you know if it possible to get the same deal in NSW?

    Cheers

Just remember all the positive feedback on hear mainly comes from the Autocraft tuned bilsteins which are different to the ones u r buying, maybe not a great difference but i am certain the autocraft ones r tuned more for the aussie conditions.

Bilsteins are a good setup but what most people get are the revalve bilsteins that are sold through Darren Macrae's emporium out of Geelong altough he has people around Australia who resell. If you got his gear fitted you would be looking at around $2100 I would guess. From memory I had my ARB gear fitted for about $1460 from memory.

Your kit won't be unless u brought it from Darren at autocraft.

I was under the impression that the Bilstein A712 and A713 Shocks are the Australian spec variety. I have these fitted, along with King Springs, and can't see how a "re-valve" could improve on an already fantastic product...

Re: Bilstein / Lovells - Bargain price

retail price for (standard) Kings and Bilsteins is basically $1300 so no super bargain as discounts of retail are common but that labour seems cheap ...

                    Lovells (not Kings) and Bilstein's
Anyway, they are available from TMC Wholesale Suspension, 3- 34 Page St, Kunda Park QLD 4556, Australia and can be contacted on (07) 5453 4222.
I was quoted just as much for Pedders / TJM and quoted about $200 more for OME from my local ARB (Australian Robbing B*******) and I'm happy with the price. Of course I could try to justify spending a few more $$ on the super re-valved for Australian conditions shockers but I'm sure the standard Bilstein's are fine ;-)

Labour is from a local company called Roadside at Maroochydore and the owner (Dave) is a very keen 4WD'er and is a good honest bloke as well.

Haven't picked them up yet, probably medium as I have the alloy front bar and no drawers, what's your advice?

Yes i only have medium ARB gear, same set up alloy bar etc, no weight in the back, HD would be way to rough. I was looking at your pricing of 1275 + 300 fitting, you mentioned ARB +300. You must have an expensive ARB dealer as i payed 1550 fitted for my ARB gear.
