Just ran the tape over mine ... (the Prado ya dirty minded buggers) ...

    Left front : 490
    Right front: 500

    Left rear : 540
    Right rear: 545

This is with 5 psi in the Polyairs and a 6' x 4' box trailer full of rubbish still hooked on.

Is it worth dropping a set of longer springs in the front - to compensate for the extra weight of bar and battery - while I save up the readies for a full kit ???

    Cheers

      Chippy,

I wouldn't bother. Just wait and get the fully suspension package. From years of building cars and ski boats I've found that waiting to get what you really want invariably works out cheaper and saves a lot of stuffing around.

        Sounds good to me ...

I'd swear the front has sagged even lower after the trip - but it could just be that I've unhooked the CT and the arse is sitting higher.

I hope no-one minds me crawling under their cars on our next trip - nah, not pinching ya suspension, - just checking out what everyone is running and how it looks and feels.

        Cheers

Chippy, some of the photo's you posted while on holidays did look like your front end had sagged a bit, i noticed quite a few of your mates over their in the west have suspension upgrades should ask some of them if they have the standard springs as even a fairly new set of standard springs could bring the front back up 20-25mm based on your measurements.
Could get you out of trouble for a while.

            Jeff
Just got mine back today after getting the front refitted with new lovells as I had same problem as yours..(springs not tempered properly)
            Front now 560mm
Rear droped a little at 590mm which were 600 yesterday but maybe caused because the car now sits level.
            Very happy

Just been having a look at this website.

              4WD Direct - Suspension for Prado 120 Series - Page 1 and Page 2

Seems to be some really good prices on Lovells, Bilsteins, Kings, EFS, Raw, OME and Polyairs.

Has anyone used these guys before ?

              Cheers

My Lovells/Bilstien combo was $1700 installed in Feb. 07.
I don't have breakdown by component.

                    Hi Jeff,
Your database is a great idea but if you want further accuracy get everyone to do measurements with either full fuel or Min Fuel eg. a tankfull of unleaded = 130kgs , Tankfull Diesel Distillate = 140kgs

Sorry to nit pick, keep up the good work

I'd happily sell the mother in law (for medical research) and get them today, at that price  8)

                              Perfect - thanks Matt

Time to go and talk to my brother in law - builds Toyota mine vehicles for Core Fleet - and offer to fence the rest of his horse paddocks.

Just out of interest (that, and it saves me having to think for myself) - did you go for the medium or heavy duty ??

                              Cheers
