I know Matt and the team at "Monster Rides" are in the process of putting together a package for the Prado...Hilux lift is apparently nothing short of amazing - these guys seriously love the toys!

Superior Engineering do a 4" lift I'm pretty sure (check their website), and some others have imported their own parts - have a look at what MickL has done, although he has done a fair bit of custom trial and error. There are photos of a Prado with the Superior Engineering kit on here, and I believe they have fitted 33's (285's) on.

Oh, and did I forget to mention Artic Trucks?

All depends how deep your pockets are and whether you want to do it correctly or not...

But yeah, 2" is roughly all you will get if you only want to swap out the springs, shocks and struts, and keep the price tag under $2k.

          Re: maxium lift

Yeah Superior do 4" lift, however you will need to import some UCA's from the states (I use Light Racing) otherwise you won't have the travel in the front. Their SRC shocks are awesome, but you pay for quality.

If you want bigger then Rough Country in the states do a 6" lift for the FJ which also fits the Prado http://www.roughcountry.com/toyota_4wd_ ... ser_6.html , I'm not sure about the quality though...I've personally never been a fan of strut spacers that big, having said that you can get around that by using a set of 6" Icon struts http://www.iconvehicledynamics.com/stor ... ver-Shock- and also replace the rear shocks they supply with some 6" SRC's from an 80 series lc http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/p ... ts_id=8147 and you'd be laughing (except when you have to pay for it)!

There was a bloke on this forum in Hong Kong that did the RC lift to his short wheel base 120 running 34" tyres.

Good luck with whatever you decide on

How positive are you that this fits double_d? Seems a little too straight forward to me lol are all the items in the kit suitable to fit the prado bc all ive read is how every inch above the standard 40-50mm lifts just makes things more n more difficult to achieve

                      Re: What's the maximum lift?

I think for any lift a Diff Drop is a good idea - you can get toytec cheap out of the states for about $50 delivered.

In answer to the 6" lift kit from RC, read this post of a the bloke in HK that put one on his shorty viewtopic.php?f=38&t=5275&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=hon g+kong

                        Re: What's the maximum lift?

Can I ask why you would ever want over 4 inches of lift in a 120 prado? With the right off set of wheels, some gentle massaging and cutting and 3-4 inch kit 33/12.5R17 can be made fit. It won't be legal in any state and would cost you a packet load but it is possible and some of us are silly enough to do it. Your front wheel travel is still the limiting factor in your suspension. Total Chaos do a long travel kit that would enable 35s to be fitted without the need of cutting your front crossmember or a body lift. You will require wider guards however. I suspect there will be more development of the 120 series suspension seeing the FJ cruiser is now available here in Australia.
