Have a great aligner here in Brisbane. Been using him for over 20 years.

Dont think you'll need the spacers Matt. I'm running the 101HD's up front on my 120 (Bar, Winch, Dual Batt, compressor) and she sits pretty high with no sag for the last coupla years...

Question. I'm fitting Bilsteins and the Kings HD next week. I have steel bar, dual batts, lights etc. no winch yet. I have medium TD coils at the moment with a 6mm spacer. Thinking and refitting the spacer with the HD's to compensate for any Spring sag, thoughts ????

Good to hear it is sorted now.

Ok just a little bit of feedback.
4 weeks ago, I removed the KTRR 102's from the rear and fitted the KTRR 102 HD's.
In the process of that I discovered that the leaky air bag was actually a split air line - so I was pretty happy simply repair it and not throw them out.
I hadn't made it around to removing the front struts (KTFR 101 H's) to move the clip position up to the middle... which I am actually glad about.
    So previously the measurement's were

    FL - 790 FR - 785
    RL - 805 RR - 795

Now with the HD springs in the rear, air bags on 5PSI and the front struts on bottom clip... I have achieved...

    FL - 790 FR - 788
    RL - 820 RR - 822

So that is loaded with the Outback drawers, 80L fridge, Recovery gear & Tools.
Now the HD's are in the rear, the H's in the front seem to be behaving them selves a lot more and the car doesn't feel like it has as much body roll as before.
I think the car would be awesome with HD's in the front as its got all the fruit there short of a steel bar.
So I have decided that if Im going to remove the front struts to move the clip up to the middle for the H's, I may as well fit the HD's and be done with it...

So thank you PP crew, my suspension is now sorted...

    No worries Peter.
That all seems pretty straight forward and I think the front height of 800 is achievable but moving the clip up to the middle position.
Ill chase some 'HD' rear springs down and fit them up.
Im just hoping the 'H' springs on the front will hold up to the weight.

Measurement as of today are -
    FL - 790 FR - 785
    RL - 805 RR - 795

So my question is now ready to be asked.

After i fit the new KTRR102-HD's to the rear, would I be able to retain the KTFR101-H's on the front?
If so, which clip position would you go for?
    Hi Drew,

Assuming you achieve a similar ride rear height to Gumboot with the KTRR102HD springs of 820mm loaded, then you would need the front to be about 800mm.

To raise the front by 10-15mm with your current springs would require you to have the circlips reset from the bottom to the middle position. This would also give you the option to go higher if need be in the future.

Another option is to fit a pair of AJ120 6mm strut top spacers to give you an extra 12mm lift without the need to disassemble the struts and retain the same ride quality and suspension down travel.

the 250kg OME springs are the medium rated spring, they also do a 400kg constant load spring.

I usually run minimal prssure in the air bags, 6-8 psi unless loaded for a trip and towing the camper, then around the 15-18psi mark. Just on a side note, i have mine connected to the one valve, so if there is a leak I wont get a lean as they will both deflate, also easier to pump them up that way

    Cheers Andrew

    Hey AJ.
Ive got the blue Coil-rites from Air Bag Man.
You know it could be a simple as a cracked line or leaky connection. Id better get the soapy water spray bottle out!
But I know for sure that 250 + kgs in the back & roofracks etc is way too much for STD raised springs.
I was hoping airbags would take the weight, but I would say that they would really be for leveling purposes only.

Thanks for the idea. I will check the lines for airleaks but Im sure Id still be up for HD springs in the rear.

    Cheers.

It is possible your Billy's are shagged, the air bags may have been hiding the real problem?
I'd be checking those billys out properly! Especially after the last set I saw on Anders vehicle.
Yes thats a fair call ####. When I seen that post about them buggered struts I immediately inspected the struts and shocks for leaks and couldnt find any. Ill check again but ive seen leaking shocks before and mine are still clean. I think the springs are far too overloaded. Apart from leaks and split bush's, what else should I be looking for when inspecting struts and shocks?
