  • AIRBAGMAN ON-AIR suspension, help NEEDED, URGENT!!!!!!!

I've installed the airbagman on-air air suspension on the rear of my prado 120 VX 4.0 to replace the coil suspension, after one muddy offroad trip, the right hand side and left hand side of the body became unbalanced. the right hand side is 2cm higher than left hand side. Does any on installed the same product? Does anyone have any expirence of this? how could this happen and how to fix it?

    Please help me!!!

    thanks in advance

Just a wild guess Boss. Have you fitted up with one common air fitting and connected the two bags together via a common line? If you have done this then the vehicle will lean to the heavy side. Air bags should generally be fitted with individual valves and run at the same pressure. This will also stop the vehicle leaning over on hard cornering. Cheers.

thank you very much for your reply Derb, I've got the response from airbagman suspension tecnical help, here is their reply "The Prado with factory air suspension has height sensors to level the vehicle. Potentially in your muddy, offroad trip you may have gotten dirt/mud onto the height sensor and it is restricting movement.

When installing our kit to achieve a 2 inch lift we provide spacers for the height sensor to read as normal height.

Can you also check if these have been installed on your vehicle?"

now I'm calling my mechanic to confirm that

              lantuozuo,
You didn't say which country you are from but you did mention that you replaced the coils with the airbag. In Australia, the 120 VX does not have height suspension. So the lean would not have been caused by interference on the height sensor.

However, your photo suggests that you are not in Australia and maybe the VX in your country does have height adjustment, but the height adjustment is done by the factory airbags, but you mentioned that it was the coils that were replaced with airbags.

                  thanks for the reply amts

that was my bad to mention the coil, the VX mode in China is factory airbag susepsnion at rear, not coil

I have asked Ben from AirbagMan, and he suggestted me to check the height senor, that may cause the lean

Which brand of HD springs are you intending on installing? and do you also have Dual Battery up front?
