  • air bag lift vs spring lift

    hi,
i am considering getting air bags in my 120 gxl so that i can achieve a near on 2" lift when i want to take it of road and then lower it to standard when i fly back to work to keep the current stability when i fly back to work for 2 weeks while it gets used as a suburban bus. I am wondering how this would compare to a 2" spring lift? Either way this would be accomodated with larger tyres... Possibly 265/70's.
    Any suggestions!
    Cheers.

ok. Maybe suggestions not needed. I came up with this idea on site at the pub after a few drinks. I hadn't even had a good look at the front end set up. I have since found out while discussing with others that the has a boil over shock set up similar to that of a mcpherson strut like that of a commodore just more complicated.

Two inch lift is a standard upgrade on these beasts matey. I am in the middle of organizing one for myself. A 2.5-3 inch can be accommodated with the right setup as well.

i have been told that apparently anything over a 2 inch lift on the front Will require a diff drop similar to the current series hilux
