Raising the 120

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

We went out on Sunday and I got mud stuck in the grate under the front of the car, between the 2 skid plates. Silly design.

I noticed there are various replacement skid/bash plates that do not appear to have this issue. They are going on the wish list.

My question is how do I raise the height of this part of the car?
Will a suspension lift do it or can it only be done with bigger tyres?
I can uderstand that the rear full axle and diff will only be raised with taller rubber.
What effect does this have on the drive train? Is this the cv boot issue I read about?

The suspension lift will do it for you on the front. Normal lift is 2" and that doesn't cause a problem with the CVs.

2 inch lift, some decent muddies (70 profile), and 3 brown davis bash plates, one from the front factory toyota bullbar to chssis, the next to cover under the sump, the next to cover the transfer case, approx $800 for the lot. This will give about as much protection as possible for under neath, except for some rock sliders which are available from a forum member on here. Regards Steve
