  • Good place on Central Coast NSW for Lift?

    Hi All,

So the time has come to get a Lift. I am going for 2' lift. Looking at getting Bilsteins with ridepro's. The question is who to get the work done through.

Anybody know of a good place to get this done through that stoks the goods and does a good job.

I am prepared to go up to Newcastle or down to northern Syd if need be but want closer to home if possible.

    Cheers
    Muddles
2006 GXL D4D, Gun Metal Grey, Soverign Bull Bar, Uniden UH400SX-RM CB. Rock slider steps from WASP, 2" Lift Bilsteins with King Springs, Cooper ST Maxx 265/70/17's and a Safari Snorkel. My Wife's future shopping list includes in order a Winch (Most likely a Tigerz), Bash Plates, Rear Bar, Dual Battery setup and a 60l Fridge. And the list gets longer each time we talk about the car.

Mate, you could buy the stuff online/delivered and get a local mechanic to do it for you.
Should be about 2.5 hours labour including a wheel allignment.
2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.

Hmm. my wife has been doing the rounds to get prices this morning. Just got a quote to get bilsteins fitted for $1800 and apparently the place has a whole lot of modded 4wd's and rally cars sitting out the front getting work done so looks like this guy knows his stuff. i aksed my wife to confirm the springs that he will use as well.

Well, Lift going on today. Bilstein's with King springs as well as a set of recovery points upfront. $1800 for the lift. Not sure about the recovery points cost. My wife gave me these for our wedding anniversary.
4-6 weeks to let the springs settle in and then new rubber. Down to a few options there. Cooper ST Maxx or MT ATZ 4 rib. Wouldn't have minded giving a set of Goodyear Duratracks a go but cant get them in a 265/70/17. Oh well.
