Looking good 'vette. One day I'll get mine up too.
Just noticed the reflectors / lights on your bumper (bottom row). The rectangular ones look aftermarket but are the others aftermarket or standard over there?
Not that I particularly want them - was just interested.

I only have about 45mm droop left in the front now and only 20mm in the rear.
    Double_D
how does the front handle higher speed whoops and bumps? (speed bumps?) with only 45mm droop?

i already have 80S rear ome and i am thinking about going longer again, and i will be using spacers and capturing the upper coil locating cone.

all of my sus is still OME throughout.

can you get some side on pics and also let me know how your 120 handles with the reduced droop.

So far I haven't been over 80, but I will be heading up to brissy tomorrow so ill get a better idea. It seems to be ok though, and it would be better without the swaybar (more droop again) but cornering sucks.

Nice yeah I have the 80s Tough Dog big bore shockies going in today... apparantly they open out to 625mm and close to 423mm, but you can remove the bump stop on the shock and they will close to 395mm i think... will have to lower existing chassis bump stops though. I have 20mm spacers on the rear coils so they don't come loose until about 635mm (of open shock). Plus any longer than that your brake lines need to be exended and you would need to replace your panhard rod, trailing arms (upper and lower) as they bind up. Also the upper arm on the LHS will hit the fuel tank.

As it is with my lift my diff has shifted 5mm over to the right... not really that noticable, but I may have to get an adjustable panhard rod as some stage.

Not worth going any longer in shock I don't think unless you have some $$$ to spend.

Will get some pics today and post soon.

    Re: Suspension Measurements 2

I just installed the rear HD King Springs with my existing spacers + got the billies raised up to the top circlip on the front.

    FL - 820mm
    FR - 825mm
    RR - 850mm
    RL - 855mm

I have a drawers and fringe in the back and bullbar + spotties etc on the front. Oh and 180 ltrs of fuel at the time of measuring.

I only have about 45mm droop left in the front now and only 20mm in the rear. Current rear shocks are billies but i'm replacing them with the Tough Dog 45mm bore shockies for an 80 series LC... this will give me another 60mm in droop - so 80mm in total. Apparently the you can get some long travel billies from a Hilux in the front?? But I suspect its my upper control arm binding before ive reached the end of the shock.

As for ride quality, both the front and rear is noticibly firmer with the but not as bad as I thought.... The front almost feels like it has HD's in there too - I guess it's because the spring is more compressed now. Once i change the shockies to the 80 series tough dogs this could firm things up a bit in rear...although they're adjustable so i'll play around with it.

    keep you posted.

front with arb winch bar, winch, lights, dual battery, on board compressor: left 755mm, right 755mm

rear with polyair @ 6psi, 3/4 tank fuel, full draw system: left 795mm, right 785mm

They seem a little less than the average on other 120s - uhm!!!!

    Cheers

Suspension has done 10,000km so well and truely worn in... I'll be adding 20mm rock crawler spacers to the rear this weekend and looking to place rear shocks with an 80 series LC raised Bilstein (more travel). Bump stops will have to be lowered too and I don't run swaybars

    Double_D

After rockcrawler spacers installed I have 835mm in the rear.... No fridge in the back at the moment hence the extra 5mm.

I'd still like more in the front so considering moving the circlip up to the top groove in the billies (currently on the lowest). Might also put the HD Kings on the rear for a few extra mm

Ok, my baby is back home.

I got a 2 inch lift with Tough Dog Adjustable 40mm bore suspension through Opposite Lock in Orange ($1630) . I am still playing around with the settings - but she is handling the bumps better, and of course much better clearance :P

My updated measurments are as follows:

Before Upgrade Front 740mm, Rear 760mm

After Tough Dog Adjustables Front 790mm, Rear 820mm
