Also if you go too high without an extended strut you have little down travel, which will cause handling issues and possible strut damage due to it topping out all the time.

Just thought I'd add my measurements here for future reference more than anything.
GXL, V6, Steel ARB non-winch bar, 3rd row seats removed, near full fuel tanks. Everything else stock as far as weight goes.
All suspension components stock except for the rear shocks which are KYB Excel G's. I think the previous owner used it for towing a bit and hence the upgraded rear shocks.

Hi Hugo,
I have similar weights than you up front (ARB Steel Bar, 21kg Dual Batt, Winch (Rope), ARB UVP, ARB air, Spotties, AJ120 Sliders, Rhino Pioneer Platform rack) but i'm going for the below combo, gets installed Tuesday next week on my 120:
Billies : BE5A712 and 713's
Dobinsons : C59-327 (Rear) and C59-302 (Front)
FireStone bags in the back.
Question, what setting on the front shock did you use? probably the bottom or middle clip...
Cheers,

302 on the top cog will settle to a 40mm lift.
Also depending what your main use is, as u are putting bags in the rear, 325 will give a nicer ride unloaded.
I might be wrong, but maybe double check, as this is what I have found on customers vehicles in the past.

Thanks ####,
Do you think I'll need a diff drop gong that way (40mm+).
Curious because my ARB UVP won't allow for a diff drop, so I'd also be looking at new plates...
I haven't read about many 120's breaking CV's at least not on P.P.

Diff drop is more to do with travel, not height. The more full extension travel you have on any c/v the greater the angle & risk of damage.
Hiluxes break them much more, because more travel.

OK, so she went in yesterday and got the suspension fitted by Dobinsons. Got home and noticed a leaky boot, damn.
Billies : BE5A712 and 713's
Dobinsons : C59-327 (Rear) and C59-314 (Front)
Firestone Ride-Rite 4107 Coil-Rite; Air Helper Spring Kit
Measurements:
FL=814 – FR=811
RL=843 – RR=840
I had to fit the suspension before my bar and winch due to time constraints. The only extra weight I have on this Stock Prado is my 21KG dual battery. Figures are pretty high but I expect a significant drop once I fit all my gear within the next 3 weeks, ready for my High Country trip on the 31st. Even though I haven't fitted all my gear yet I would not expect leaking CV boots with the strut/spring combo I have chosen.
It's going back to Dobinsons on Thursday get checked out.
Also note, CV angles do not look excessive… maybe it was a loose clamp on the boot?
