pradogxlv6; how is the 100 going with the ironman springs?

samo; what springs did you end up using for your lift.

my lovells have been a problem getting.
been just off 2 months, and still being told, "awaiting manufacture".
so i'm looking around for springs. (got my billys waiting for springs)
does anyone do 3in lift springs?

have damo i ended up using heavy springs, rides a little firmer but it will handle a good load really easily, and i will get a winch oneday so the suspension will be ready, and i dont know of anyone which does 3inch kit because of the angle it wouldput on ya front drive cvs. thats what the general word is, i talked to climax suspension at thornton and he said he could aso for an extra fee modify the shocks to give a little more down travel, dont know if i could do it for ya billys, cheers samo

ive got em on my gx, i ended up going for the constant load springs (heavy) and the gas shocks, im very happy with the way it handles and has improved wheel travel and drivability, it does ride a little firmer but it dont worry me, ive done 20000km on mine now

                    Thanks Samo.

I have read plenty of positive endorsements on other forums too. I've booked in for the fitting with foam cell shocks and medium springs. $1100 all up including wheel alignement from Opposite Lock in Brisbane. Was going to go Billies with Kings at $1700+ but there is a months wait on the rear shocks.

I had budgeted for the higher amount so it leaves me with $600 to play with

i did billy's with ironman springs.
waited 2 months for lovels and couldn't wait any longer.
turned out to be a good ride.
i went the constant for rear.
                      i'm very happy with them

Got the lift kit installed. Makes a huge difference to the handling. Its nice and tight through corners and doesn't wallow around any more The first thing I noticed was the increased feel throught he steering wheel and I felt a little more 'connected' to the road. I maybe get a touch more vibration throught eh steering wheel on rougher roads but that is a sacrifice for a stiffer set up.

The usual bumps and dips feel a bit firmer initially but they are definitely not harsh and the vehicles gets re-settled almost immediately and has lost that bounciness which I noticed with the original suspension.

I may need to get the wheel alignment re-checked out though. On the freeway the steering wheel sits about 10 degrees to the right and if I centre it the car starts peeling left. I hadn't noticed this prior to the lift so I'll take it back to Opposite Lock and get their opinion. They used a third party for the wheel alignment so they should be able to give me an unbiased view.

I did take some before and after pics and will post them as soon as I get them downloaded.

A few wheel alignment places have said that its done for safety reasons (right hand driving countries the pull is towards the left). They have also said the roads have a slant moreso on the sides to the left  :?

Not sure how true this is, happy to be enlightened :?
                          Cheers,

i would say wait another week or two, before getting another wheel alignment.
as the suspension settles the wheel alignment will out.
i'm on wheel alignment 3 after lift.
1 straight after, 1-2 weeks later, and the last about 1-1.5 months after.

That sounds a bit bizarre. If that was the case I'd have thought it would be the other was round. If the road slants to the left then the steering wheel should be slightly offset left. Keeping a straight wheel would then stop the car 'falling away' with the camber. Like you Dustie, I would be happy for somebody to shed some light.
