  • Suspension Recommendations for a $1k budget?

    Hi Guys

I have $1000 to spend on a suspension set up for my 120 series 2005 GXL, this is the fist modification on a long list, and need some advice from the chaps that have done this upgrade. I am looking to achieve the highest lift possible without the car wallowing in corners as my girlfriend drive this car everyday for work and i do a bit of travel on the black stuff as well.

Has to be firm but not turn the car into a bone shaker,

Driving will be 75% on road 25% off road.

Any links to good deals or a pointer in the right direction would be great

    cheers

    Nick

Links? 345 threads here for you to look at! http://www.pradopoint.com/forumdispl...n-(120-Series)

Pointers? take the time to write the full title in the thread rather than use an abbreviation that took me 100 times longer to work out what it meant than it would have taken you to write recommendations! Just a little thing but if you haven't got the time to type a few extra letters not sure why others would have the time to help you.

So much info already posted by soooo many people on virtually every combination of suspension you could possibly want its just a matter of reading.

    Cheers Andrew

      more descriptive title for thread...

Recommend saving a little long as Andrew has already pointed out... Many suspension options already covered throughout various threads within this section of the forum! But a set on medium duty springs of which ever brand you choose would be your best bet.

For under $1k, I would recommend you have a look here: http://www.4wddirect.com.au/cgi-bin/...h&category=TP2
They have a Lovells kit for $839 including freight, probably the best value for money combination I know of.

Write it cryptically, you know like, I went past mlc's ARB store the other day and saw that they/he have an OME setup for $xx. You could try there and with the money you save you could get a 47l ARB fridge and a set of glow in the dark orange Maxtrax.

See that didn't appear to break the rules or indicate in any way that I was coincidently taking a random opportunity to mention some of the 2012GTG sponsors without actually answering the thread or contributing in any meaningful way.

PS: sorry Duffer, treat it like one of those spontaneous adverts. Oh, btw , there are people that for some weird reason actually look at my posts so they may actually help which would be good because my young fella just bought an unnamed brand new 4wd and needs a cheap lift as well.

Actually it was a commercial sale push for your own company... No one else in this thread has pushed their own products if you check..
You have multiple violations for commercial sales breaches.. Maybe a decent read of the rules would help..
