                just some comparison pics of sorts i guess.

                bit hard to see the tyre to guard gap as most people use as a reference.

                      Guys what clearance do you have under the sump and are those tyres 70 profile?

                        Hight looks good, but given the angle of the UCA I looks like you would have pretty limited down travel before the UCA hits the spring!

                        Cheers Andrew

                            Spot on, Andrew. The 3" lift was inadvertent. I chose the 2nd circlip groove but it should be better on the 1st groove.

                            I had to rotate the coil for better clearance with the UCA.

                              Yes, the axle components are identical between 120-series and FJ Cruiser, same part numbers. So I assume that FJ Cruiser 6" lift kit would fit to 120 Prado too. I am just installing 6" Rough Country kit to my FJ Cruiser, but I modified the front strut spacers so that it will only lift 3", cut and welded them to 77 mm. The RC 6" lift consist of 3" drop crossmembers, 3" longer spindles, 120 mm strut spacers and so on. I choosed 6" lift instead of 3", because I like the idea to get the driveshafts and steering rods at original line. Beafier spindles feels good idea too with 35" tires.

                              Picture is taken so that the tire just contact the earth, almost max. down travel.

                                @sik 120 it looks great
                                So I have a couple of options now .. Go with sik 120's lift with the dobinsons etc
                                Or like kzj^ do the diff drop, crossmember ...

                                I still like the idea of the crosemember drop. I realise that it dosnt give you any more "diff" Clarence I guess but it's no different to a live axle - the only thing that improves diff clearance is bigger tyres...

                                Im no mechanix , but The 3" crosemember drop is still lifting the car - the chassis , 3" higher than before - and also keeps the driveline and control arms all level like factory , so still have some kind of downtravel ... I want to increase my clearance because I keep bellying out and ripping my rear bar off ..

                                Maybe I'll go for a mixture of both... Crossmember drop and also aftermarket upper control arms

                                Hmm I'll keep thinking but to start out I will get a diff drop spacer kit and some strut spacers and coil spacers and see how i go
