  • Bilstien/Dobinsons Suspension Setup

    Hi All,

I have been following the suspension threads as I am looking to replace my suspension in my 120 Prado. I have also been ringing around the various suppliers for setup recommendations.

From all your threads Bilstiens shockers are about top of the group closely followed by OME. Then when it comes to springs everyone has something slightly different.

One of the suppliers here in Bunbury has a Bilstien Shock and Dobinsons Spring setup that is about $100 dearer that OME (before I take to them with the thumb screws at the show on the weekend).

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with the Dobinsons Springs?

    All assistance greatly appreciated.

I have no personal experience with Dobinsons but they get a good wrap from a few guys on here that are pretty knowledgeable about suspension.

Here are some threads that may help you.

As AJ has kindly pointed out, there are a few threads on this subject already, with one of them specifically about where to purchase this suspension matchup in Perth.

In order to keep the forum a bit more tidy, it probably would have helped if you had of just posted your question into one of those threads, rather than creating another one.

Thanks Andrew, Google let me down or I just had a typo.

Might be time to get out the thumb screws.

        Thanks again

I used the in house search for that, select advanced search, type doinson in, select thread titles only and there you go. Probably a few more could be found with same search using Dobinsons with an s on the end.

          Cheers Andrew
