Yes moist is good, that's pretty standard, some stay dry, that's ok too (talking shockers here josh).

Hi ####,
Were the Bilsteins German made or American???
I'm struggling big time to chose a 2" lift between OME, Bilstein/Dobinsons, or Koni/Dobinson or King or Lovell.
Bili's were definitely a strong contender until I read this.
(Mines a 150 though).
cheers,

Just saw this thread...
Looks like your Bilstein's were on the top circlip setting there Anders. What heights were you running in the front?
Reason I ask is, any chance the front shocks were topping out?NOW FOR SALE!!! - 2004 Silver GXL 3lt 4spd Auto - ARB Bullbar, Safari Snorkel, Redarc Dual Battery System, Cooper ST MAXX, Dark Tint, IPF900XS spots, Raised Bilstein/Kings Suspension/Firestone Airbags, Autosafe Cargo Barrier, Sandgrabbers, Rola Roof Rack Stuff, Insect Screen, Dust/Wind Deflectors, Sheepskin/Black Duck Seatcovers, GME TX3510, ARB underbonnet compressor, Allied Hammer Rims, ARB UVP, AJ Sliders

I did not sell or fit the Billy's, didn't take much notice either.
You know I reccomended the Dobinsons combo.
If you want something different, happy to spend a bit more, well direct from the manufacturer of OME I can get the MONROE product & put that with the Dobinsons coils. Not saying its better, BUT cheaper and better than OME.
P.m me if you would like mre info about it.

Washed the strut and these pics are about a month later .
I find it disgraceful well disapointed that you pay for a premium product and they haven't lasted so have decided to try a Dobinsons combo ..
Straight after instal around 800 see what happens when it settles .
I hadn't seen this post before & can shed a little light on those Shocks.
The MO at the end of part number is the Model Number or Series. The MO series was the first series they did for the Prado's & dates back to 2006-2007. Those are very early 120 Series front shocks.
They then released the M1 model & are currently up to the M2 model just in a natural course of development over the years.
Regards, Jason.

Yeh I was on the M2 models, the front bushs were poo, they didn't even last 30thou k's before being replaced. I had the same issue at about 40thou k's rear bushs replaced. One of the rear shocks has leaked most of its oil now as well and looks wrecked. The shop will be looking at the fronts as well when I go back in to see if they are gone as well.09 D4D Prado - Toyota issue White

Photo of my Bilsteins after approx. 30,000 km's admittedly though I have done the Gibb River Rd and Cape York in that time. After consultation with Zordo I have gone with the Dobinson shocks for the 80 series. Fitted them on the weekend and I believe the ride is far superior to the Bilstein and will be replacing the front shocks shortly. The Dobinson springs are still perfect look like new and don't appear to have sagged at all.
I'm not an expert by any means but I believe the travel in the Bilstein shocks is not long enough for the 2" Dobinson lift. As you can see both dust covers are missing as they were squashed so I cut them off.
