Well Done Mitch, maybe you and chippy could do a back to back comparison Blue max vs OME. Looking forward to the feedback.

Cant recommend Bilsteins highly enough. I actually raised the lower spring seat on mine this morning one notch to raise the front 13mm and even it up. I love em. Worth every cent. Just my 2c though.

              Tam with the finished product...

Tam's shoulders are pretty much the same height as bottom of the windows now!

But is she happy with the new ride ... she was worried it was going to be too harsh ???

I've also got a spare step ladder if she needs one

                Cheers

it should settle down a bit in the next few months..

i suggest getting another wheel alignment done in 5000 kms.. mine was way off after it settled.

                        stuff

                        G`day Mitch & Tam

love the new lift, Coastal 4x4 service is brilliant isnt it.

Just a question though why so many wheel alignments? Is this a weakness with the prado?

                        Cheers

Nah, we had a whack in the back end by a commowhore p plater which resulted in a new rear bar and towbar, just wanted to make sure everything was still straight. Then when we were in Kal last we had the wheels rotated balanced and another alignment and another one after the suspension lift....

Steve, your right about Coastal's Service mate, it's second to none!

thanks for the info, i will have to rotate and align more often, i always get in the car after the cook has driven and it feels different.

Just a bit of an update on the suspension for all....

Well, the Blue Max has been doing a sterling job under MUMSRIG for the last 10 months and we are more than happy to recommend it to anyone for their 120 Series.

We haven't had any sagging issues at all and the ride is still 2nd to none compared to what it was stock. Clearance isn't a problem anymore, no more track grading for us and yesterday we were following another Prado (stock GXL with Grandcraps) and took the same cormer at the same speed and MUMSRIG held it's line so much better than the stocker...even though we are alot taller now!

                              Very, very happy indeed! :P

The average kit certainly doesnt normally have to many issues early days, and you would expect no more than 10mm of sdettling in that time, and no real chnage in ride comfort from start point.

I did notice afew Bilstein preices early on in this thread, and one thing you must be careful with when looking at Bilsteins, is ensuring what you get is suitable, as 4 of the main Bilstein part no's in the cattledog are purrely empty high speed hwy valving with no where near enough rebound for what we do on our roads, let alone off road.

                                So be careful with that.

Also, in the the For sale, [link in my sig] we have offered a great kit for those who dont want to spend on the Bilsteins, and added warranty, to back the product, to stand behind it just for P.P members.
