Grande bouncing around all over the place...and cannot adjust height etc

Hi All,
After unhitching the van yesterday and driving the car i have noticed that i cannot adjust the airbags at all and the car seens to be bouncing all over the place on any little bump.

I have checked all related fuses etc and all seem fine...

Any suggestions?

Am i likely to need to replace the bags?

Sounds like you are driving on the bumpstops? The airbags of that age are prone to deteriorate and split at where the airbag folds are. This has happened to a few members here.

Note: there is a left and right hand side.

Otherwise, the only 3rd party airbag is Airbagman OA6011. There's a lifted and non-lifted version.

But first check for a tear in the airbag. If everything is fine, the compressor might be the problem.

Knev, have you had a look underneath to see if your airbags are still inflated? Check this first and I would suggest that you try to reset by disconnecting your battery for 1/2 an hour or so and see if that helps I'm not at my laptop at the moment to see if their is a defined period to leave the power off to allow a proper reset but perhaps another member may have that info for you...

Is it sitting on the bump stops? Very low?

If not Perhaps your shockers are shagged.

Hit the up button , get out and listen for the compressor under the passengers side rear bumper , make sure that is working first up . If its working and not coming up , then it's most likely the airbags are shot . $ 137 each plus freight www.partsouq.com

A little ore info on the condition.
1. Does not seem to be sitting super low at the back -
2. No compressor noise whatsoever -
3. No response from the hi/lo switch - light does not move on dash at all.

Car is having regular service today (i was intending to trade in at the end of the week on a 150......so not real happy with spending too many $$ - bugga)
Mechanic will look at these things - and hopefully it is just the disconnect battery and reset to get it back....

I reckon the air release after switching off has been getting longer and longer (and louder) after each time you turn it off - untill Monday - when there was no noise..

Maybe you have a compressor problem.
