We recently bought a 2009 Land Cruiser Prado (Diesel) that is in fantastic condition. It has 50,000 km on it and runs extremely well. One question I have is: Is it normal to have a rattling/shaking metal noise coming from underneath the car when on really bumpy concrete roads and going downhill?
I checked underneath the car and everything seems to be tightened down. The only thing I can guess that it might be is the setup of the muffler with the rubber attachment to prevent an attachment failure. It allows it to move around slightly. Maybe it is knocking against something?
